Ever since this came about over a year ago, I’ve had an interest in releasing it at GJM. Until now I’ve not had the motivation or the time to do so, but thanks to a gentle nudge from Maxine, and a lot of help from them also, I can finally release it.
Cardcaptor Sakura is a series I hold close. It’s something I grew up watching dubbed, and in the recent past, watched again properly (read: subbed). Being able to take this OVA and do it justice is a big deal to me, so I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do.
Lastly, there are tentative plans to fully release the Clear Card Arc BDs if the details can be worked out, so potentially be on the lookout for those being released in the future.

Hearing that the first proper Clear Card TV release might finally be coming out makes me very happy :)
What release do you recommend to watch the original show?
I personally watched Coalgirls’ release, which is R1 official subs if I remember right.
It has its own issues, but there is no perfectly ideal release for the show, sadly.
I’d love to fix that, but it’s 70 episodes and 2 movies, which is more than a little spooky.
Yeah, the R1 release is good enough that I can also recommend it. Considering the show’s age and them being official subs, it’s honestly not too bad.
Yeah, exactly.
It’s not perfect and has its own issues, but it’ll be better than any fansub of the era, even if it DOES need some love itself.
